Out goddamn you! Out I say!
This post may not get read. It may get discarded, point-blank ignored and shunned. But yet, I shall still try and garner your attention if you will.
Yesterday was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Just like Dr.King, I have a dream. Like most aspiring authors I want to become a published author. Not a vanity author(like Createspace that I already use for some of my other works) but a proper in-print author that resides on a shelf in a bookstore.
I’m currently running a crowdfunding campaign….Please don’t turn away. I won’t be much longer. I assure you. My book of short stories and novellas called Sometimes Never is available on the crowdfunding site Britain’s Next Best Seller. I have 24 days left to get my pre-order of 250 to get a publishing deal. I currently have 16 pre-orders.
250 doesn’t sound a lot. But it’s huge. Getting 250 people to take a punt on you is a serious task in hand. I don’t profess to be the best writer going. I don’t think I ever will be. But I do think I’m half decent and worth a punt.
If I’ve pursuaded you then please check out the link below. See what you think. It would be great if you ordered a copy. I must stress that no money is taken from your bank account unless I reach my target of 250 orders. The money then won’t come out until May. So I’m only asking 10 mins of your time to fill in a form and get me closer to my dream!
But if I’ve haven’t pursuaded you then I’m sorry for wasting your time.
Thanks for listening
Here’s some lyrics I wrote a few years ago for a song called Losing My Mind.
Losing my mind is not that nice.
Three steps forward and two steps back.
I’m out of reach, I’m having an heart attack.
Palms are sweaty, my fingers are raw.
Eyes are blood shot. Mouth is dry.
I slip into the shadows one last time
